It's rare for me to be on the other side of the camera so this challenge was a little daunting!
It's the popular thing for portraits to be soft and smooth but for me it's the imperfections in peoples faces that make them interesting. In this image I wanted to emphasise the lines and slightly rough texture of my skin, as well as my hair (or lack thereof).
